Volume 1's spine is reinforced with plain black cloth on which the title has been handwritten. Cloth splitting along edges of volume 2's spine (boards still securely attached). Additional stamps and card pockets inside. Small stains in margins of first and last several pages in volume 1. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight. Worn but readable copies. Two-volume history of Quincy, Illinois, illustrated with black and white plates. Volume 1 is historical and volume 2 is biographical.
