New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons/Penguin Group. The seventh novel in Robert B. Parker's mystery-detective series featuring female P.I. Sonny Randlall and the first sense Parker's death in 2010. Parker's estate gave sports writer/columnist Mike Lupica, a longtime friend of Parker's and mystery writer himself, permission to add another chapter to the Sonny Randall series. Randall is trying to protect her ex-husband, Richie, and his Mafia family from a vengeful, unknown assailant out of the family's Mob-ridden past. First edition, first printing, with complete numberline. About 6 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches, 325 pages bound in red paper-covered boards with white backstrip, with gold lettering on spine and author's initials in gold on front cover. Dustjacket's front panel shows graphic of set of brass knuckles resting in glass-full of whiskey. Graphic set against a light blue and white background with title in red and author in blue. The bar code on back panel has been covered with a black sticker. Boards and text are clean, complete and show no noticeable flaws or damage. Dj is in equally good condition with perhaps a touch of edgewear. Not price-clipped, no significant flaws or damage such as creasing, tearing or bumping. A collectable copy . . Fine.
