"Night Walker" is the story of Navy Lieutenant David Young who comes to in a hospital bed, his head helmeted in bandages and with nurses calling him by a stranger's name. The stranger he was believed to be was suspected of treason and had driven his wife to murder. Young must now learn quickly how to stay ahead of his unknown and hidden enemies or he will very soon become dead for real. Originally published in 1954, this Hardcase Crime edition is a first printing, first edition thus. Mass market paperback, 252 pages plus 4 pages of publisher's ads in light card, pictorial wrappers with front cover illustration by Tim Gabor showing a dark-haired young woman, a man with a bandaged head and face dropping a flashlight as a second man's left hand fires an automatic pistol at the first two people. This copy appears to be unread. A touch of soiling to top edge of text, o/w no reading creases or other creasing, no chipping, bumping or surface or edge wear. Not ex-library, not remaindered. A very collectable copy of the early work of this popular 20th century genre writer.
