The Special Operations Executive was a British secret service, formed in 1940 to encourage underground resistance to Hitler's Germany. Dust jacket in quite good condition. Burgundy cloth covers in very good condition; includes 4 maps in back pocket. No marks.

Brown cloth boards with minor marks. Pages have some foxing. Previous owner's signature on front endpaper. Binding is solid. 19 black & white illustrations.

Red boards; gilt lettering on spine. Previous owner's name & price lightly penciled on endpaper. Page edges slightly darkened. Text block unmarked. Very good condition.
