Vincent DiFate, illustrator. Introduction by James Gunn. Still in shrinkwrap but the air has escaped. Still an unopened copy.

10th title in the series. A very-well-bound volume in original pebbly Blue cloth. Corners and binding with minimal wear; lettering on spine slightly faded but still easily readable. Contents Very Good and clean; the only flaw per se is the fact that there are 2 wrinkles on most of the pages, about 1/3 from the top, and 2/3 from the top. It's as if 2 round items have been in the book for a lengthy time and the book has had considerable weight on it to make these impressions.?? Still a handsome little volume despite being around for 161 years so far.

The delightful words of Richard Adams (author of Watership Down) combined with the amazing illustrations of Nicola Bayley make "The Tyger Voyage" a must-have addition to your collection.

Aiko Miyawaki: Documents from an Artist's Life. "People tell me that I'm not at all a typical Japanese woman. I laugh and I think of my free-spirited mother and radical father...so radical in fact, that he was in prison for protesting a landfill project when I was born. He was an anarchist, a pacifist. My mother came from an old proud family in Izu. Her ancestors were the Saiwa Genji; we grew up before the war, in a big house in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture with many servants. My mother always spoke her opinion and encouraged those around her to develop their talents. Even one of her housekeepers became a calligraphy teacher. As for me, when I grew up I wanted to be a writer like the Heian essayist Sei Shonagon. Japan has such a long tradition of women intellectuals, and it seemed perfectly natural that I would be one myself." Aiko continues to describe life during WWII and afterwards how she concentrated on her career.

Introduction by Peter Mansbridge, who admits that he has been skewed by Aislin. Inside front cover has a square drawn with "Best Wishes" and a line drawn down to Asilin's signature without inscription.

Binding slightly skewed so that front and rear edges don't match exactly at the foredges. Otherwise, a Near Fine copy with these beautiful illustrations. The same illustrations on the dust-jacket as on the book itself. Some rubbing on jacket and a little wrinkling of edges, plus one short taped tear.

With his magnificent illustrations, Michael Hague brings a fresh interpretation to Hans Andersen's storytelling.

Note: "la Reine des neiges" includes 7 fairy tales. Many wonderful colour illustrations both in text and full-page.
People's Artist of Russia, professor of Moscow State University of Printing, Boris Arkadievich Diodorov is an outstanding children's book illustrator whose works – remembered for a lifetime. In particular, children in many countries love his illustrations of Andersen's fairy tales.

Christine Davenier is the illustrator. The book starts with a young girl in fancy dress, saying "Hello, hello! I'm Gerry! I'm a very fairy princess. Not everyone believes me, and I try not to brag about it too much. (But my wings and crown do give my away a bit.) Gerry and others are not too happy about having a man teacher next term, a Mister Bonario.
