Two volumes with additional book plates. Volume 1 (1910) and 2 (1914) in hardcover with green cloth. Some scuffing to boards and small defect on front cover of Vol 1 (see picture). Some minor staining on the front and end papers with prior owner incriptions and stamp, "compliments of Abraham J. Palmer 27th District." Volume 1 has a few pages with leaves (flora) present and associated staining - not sure of the intent, but these may be native flora to the bird described on these pages. Occasional pages have some staining throughout; however, bindings are tight and no loose pages are apparent. The book of (loose) plates, dated 1925, is in good condition; the plates are bright and colorful, but have some yellowing and folds near the edges of some. Most (if not all) of the plates are present. First edition in DJ good/very good condition in brown cloth (seemingly scarce) with some staining on the endpapers and back of title page (behind photographs). Prior owner pencil name and address on the front EP; tight binding. Mylar protected. DJ in good/very good condition with some minor tearing at the edges; not price-clipped ($5).
