Bumped and worn corner tips, with scraping along edges of spine, and bumping to head and heel of spine. Light blue speckling to edges of text block which appears to be unique to publication. Text block has foxing, smudges, and age-toning. Ex-libris sticker on FFE. Paste downs & end pages are age-toned, more so on outside edges. The table of authors page protrudes farther outside of block and is frayed. Pencil underlining throughout book. Slick, slightly glossy page stock has rippled somewhat due to exposure to moisture over the years. Very readable copy. 1183 pages.

Extremely tight binding, doesn't appear to have ever been opened fully.

Self-Published, 2012. Softcover. Good. Unpaginated softcover, created for the residents of Urbana and Champaign, Illinois by the author in a graphic novel type styling. Clean, stapled binding. Very gently bumped corner tips. 21 pages.

Verlag Von Th. Knaur Nachf, 1928. Hardcover. Good. Hardcover. In German. No dust jacket. Dark navy blue leather covered boards. Some scraping to boards and spine. Head of spine is worn through to cardboard. Inch long split along front edge of spine from the top. Gilt title on front board is still bright, as is gilt on spine, although less so. A little wearing to front upper corner tip. On FFE in a 2 inch by 3 inch print, glued by its top edge to FFE. Under that is something written in pen and it's in German, as is another bit of handwriting and signature with a date of 1929. A few pages have small areas of soiling towards the bottom of pages. Gilt on the top edges of the text block is still fairly bright, with some light stains on outside and bottom edges of text block. Binding remains in good shape. Quite readable. 324 pages.

C.V. Mosby Company, 1914. Hardcover. Acceptable. Volumes I and II. Both volumes have light mildew on the boards and considerable foxing on text block and pages. Brown cloth covered boards are scratched, scraped, faded, worn. Gilt lettering on volume two is more faded than on volume one. Dented and worn corner, and head and heel of spine. The pages for the most part are white. Volume two has former owner name on FFE. Dirty text blocks. These volumes are heavy. Will require additional postage. Combined weight of both volumes is almost seven pounds.

Dented corner tips with dents and dings on board edges. Hinges are split. Toning on FFE and a previous owner name. Foxing on last few pages, endpapers and paste down. Pages have stains, dings and chips. Sewn binding is good. No loose pages. No twist. Quite readable. Just worn and showing age.

The Viking Press, 1970. Hardcover. Good. A 2-in-1 Volume. Book itself is in good condition, but DJ is a little ratty. It did its' job. DJ has bumped corners, crimped edges, small discolorations on front and back, half inch tear on back of DJ close to spine. Yellowed inside flaps of DJ. Green boards are clean, with fading along spine and top edges of boards. Small puncture on front board that does NOT go through to end paper. Bottom and outer edge of text block have a small stain and are lightly yellowed. Pages are clean and unmarked.

Whitney Museum of American Art, 1996. Softcover. Acceptable. Published in conjunction with the exhibition of Markopoulos' work at the Whitney Museum of Art in March & April 1996. Red pictorial wraps are rubbed, scratched and dirty in spots. Old price stickers have been removed at some point in the past, lifting some of the upper paper layer off wraps. Edges are scraped. All corner tips are bumped and worn. Unpaginated. Filled with colorful photographs, with accompanying text. Markopoulos was an experimental film maker, credited as a co-founder of the New American Cinema movement. Look for a photograph of the late actress Olympia Dukakis, from the 1963 film, "Twice a Man.

Edges of spine and spine ends have rubbing and light wear. Some shelf wear to bottom edges of boards. Lower corner tip of front board is dented, the other tips are bumped, with light wearing to cloth. The joint along front spine edge has bubbling to cloth. Small sticker of previous owner name on front pastedown. Pages are clean but for one page with fingerprint smudges on it. Sunned text block edges. Sewn binding is firm. Pages tend to fall open at the signatures. Pages remain firmly intact. Good reading copy. 321 pages.

Half bound, dark brown leather spine with raised bands, gilt still visible. Darker brown leather along the spine and across corners. Patterned, marble-esque, paper overlay on front and rear board. Brown and tan swirled paste-downs and end papers. Rubbing to bottom edge of boards, with paper more scraped than the leather. Rubbing to paper along outside edges and on top of the boards. Bumped corner tips with light wearing to the corners. Scraping to raised bands. Staining to dark leather along spine. The front flyleaf page opposite title page is showing peeling to the top layer of the page, towards the spine. Title page has small pencil notations in French. Smudges on title page.
