Attractive endpapers with several different birds and animals and a kneeling boy; also "God is Love" on one side and "Let us Pray" on the other side. The rear endpapers are the same. Many wonderful illustrations throughout by Janet & Anne Grahame Johnstone. Several scratches on front board, but you have to tip the book to see them.

Interesting pictorial boards, where the front cover shows a merry-go-round with the kids riding animals, but on the rear cover, the animals are riding the kids. Some of the usual stories, featuring Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx, Ivy the Terrible, Baby-Face Finlayson, and General Jumbo. Opening story "A Nightmare on Bash Street". A stiff copy, perhaps only read once or twice.

The Fairy-Godmother pictured on the inside front and rear endpapers. 8 full-page colour pictures within the book, 5 of the pages are moveables; although creased, 4 of the tabs are present and still work to create movement; the fifth tab is missing, the one where 2 men in the castle are hitting a large bell to indicate Midnight, when Cinderella must return home. Of course, we all know that Cinderella ends up wedded to the Prince and is happy ever after. And, because Cinderella was as kind as she was beautiful, she forgave her unkind stepmother and stepsisters and brought them to the palace to drink tea with her.
