Small hardback souvenir copy of the Keynote Speech made by Homer Cummings at the 1920 Democratric Party Convention in San Francisco. Cummings (1870-1956) was an American lawyer and politician who was the U.S. Attorney General from 19330 to 1939. He served as chairman of the Democratic National Committee between 1919 to 1920. Inscribed by Cummings to the Hon. Patrick Quealy, a Wyoming businessman with widespread commercial, financial, and coal mining interests. The book cover's corner tips at slightly bumped. Binding and spine remain tight. Former library book.

This small book, bound in burgandy cloth over boards, remains in good-plus condition. Gilt lettering on the spine is somewhat faded, but gilt stamped design on cover remains bright as does gilt top edge. Book cover corners are bumped. Top and bottom of spine rubbed. Pull-out map is intact. Some foxing.

The first 289 copies of this limited edition were numbered and signed by the author. This is No. 88. Book, still in tissue guard, appears unread. There is a hazy dark mark on the back of the slip case (see photos). Otherwise, slipcase and book are in handsome shape.

Surgeon General's bookplate on first paste down page. Title page coming free from binding; Ex-library marks. Binding is loose, but all pages are attached; they are clean and in good condition. This edition has NO map included. This book covers the reports of agents across the Northwest and Southwest US, and as well as New York, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Includes reports and statistics on Indian schools.

Rev. Henry Clapham Foster was the chaplain to the Second Royal Naval Brigade under Commodore Oliver Backhouse. This is a memoir of his time serving in World War I in Belgium, Turkey, and Gallipoli.
