French Edition. Interesting old book in good condition for its age. Binding tight, no markings inside.

Binding remains tight. Pages, especially close to front and back covers, are badly stained. Previous owner's notes on first free fly leaves. This interesting old book includes five plays -- Le Menteur, Le Baron D'Albikrac, Le Festin de Pierre, La Comtesse D'Orgueil (new prologue), and L'Inconnu (new diversion).

White lettering on cover badly worn with author's name nearly illegible. The spine is straight and binding tight. Pages are clean with no marks or underlinings. There is a small water stain in the binding on the reverse of the first title page.

Cover corner tips bumped, some rubbing at top and bottom of spine. Gilt lettering on spine has faded; gilt lettering, medallion and rulled edge on front cover remain bright. Former owners' names written in ink at top of first free fly leaf; each struck out with single thin line. There is no date the title page with 1884 on the copyright page. Interior pages clean and not marred by notes or highlighting; and the spine is undamaged and binding remains tight. This is not an ex-library book, but was donated to the Friends of the Eugene, Oregon, Public Library. We are selling the book to help support library programs for children and adults. Thank you.

Marbled endpapers. Frontispiece has light water stains on edge. Rest of text clean. Front hinge starting to come apart.
