Yellowing to glue of the paste downs. FFE has bookstore sticker at bottom: Lahaina Book Shoppe. Top edge of FFE has ghost outline of pencil markings. Lightly toned pages. Teeny-tiny foxing specks on textblock, which is yellowed. Binding is firm. 220 pages.

Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1960. Hardcover. Acceptable. Large, hardcover book, with dust jacket, slip case, and additional supplement in French, by Descourlitz. The book and supplement have been kept within the slip case over the years, however, they've been exposed to moisture and more than likely, heat. Moisture waves to all pages in the book and in the supplement. Significant and toning to slip case. Foxing to text block. Supplement is quite toned, with small areas of foxing. Plastic coating on DJ is bubbled, with significant bubbling of the plastic on the spine and front cover. Scraped edges and bumped tips of the DJ. Tanning on paste-downs and end pages, with darker toning where the flaps are. Green and beige linen covered boards are clean. Square corner tips. Beautiful color and black and white plates. HOWEVER. Front wrap and first few pages are creased from bottom corner, with very small tears along front edge of front wrap. Book waves (hey how you doin'?). 129 pages with 20 black and white plates.

Corner tips are bumped and top and bottom of the spine have really been bumped. Gilt lettering on spine has faded, but gilt lettering on front cover less so. Text block is yellowed with light foxing on the top of the text block. Near the spine, the text block has darkened and is soiled/dirty. The gutters between the paste downs and end pages are very yellowed and discolored, same with the leaves of book. Binding remains fairly tight. Readable copy.

Superior Printing Co, 1949. Softcover. Good. 4th printing of this little softcover book about "The Life Story of Mexico's Greatest 'Bad Man'." Given the age of this book, it's in remarkably good condition. Has all of its' pages and glued binding remains in good shape. The covers have yellowed somewhat, are gently shelf worn, and lightly bumped lower corner tips, with a little bit of bumping at bottoms of covers. Previous owners name on first page, and also the stamp of the curio shop in Deming, N.M. where the book was purchased. Full of interesting stories and wonderful old black and white photos.

Wearing at top and bottom of spine corners. Creased spine. Inscription on first page, and remnants of a pencil erasure. Pages are tanned with darker tanning on out edges. Binding remains firm and this is a very readable copy. Better than acceptable. 310 pages.

Eden Press, 1976. Softcover. Acceptable. Small pamphlet, saddle stitched (stapled) binding. This is the ninth printing, dated 1976. The Paper Trip was a counter-culture publication by Barry Reid. Soiled and stained light green wraps, with darkened edges and creased corners. The front has the titling with the "p" in "trip" tilted to right, just like title appears on other publications of "The Paper Trip." Also on the front is a design of an awards ribbon with the wording "Certified Copy." On the rear is the Eden Press address, and a recreated version of the R. Crumb "Keep on Truckin" character. This booklet is just that, a 28 page booklet, about how to "disappear" yourself through a variety of methods. Eden Press and its' founder, Barry Reid, were taken to court by the U.S. Government in 1978 for mail fraud and a variety of other charges. 5" x 7.25" This is not a reproduction.
