London: SFX Publications Ltd, 1982. Very Good. Issues 1-19 complete. C-60 cassettes twist-tied to an 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" cardboard backing. Very Good overall with light soiling and wear to cassettes and cardboard. Issue #14's cardboard has been trimmed, stapled and used as a cassette case. A few of the twist-ties may not be original. Issues 9, 10, 12, 18, & 19 have two additional punch holes through cardboard. A short-lived experiment in cassette magazine publishing focusing on contemporary British music at the height of the New Wave. SFX managed to cover a lot of musical ground: from the one-hit wonders of the day like Haircut 100 and Funboy 3 to post-punk to Queen, B.B. King, filmmaker Mel Brooks, Motorhead's Lemmy, Phil Collins, Kid Creole, Can's Holger Czukay, and more. Like Australia's Fast Forward, each issue was in a radio show variety format. They had news, interviews, reviews, previews of upcoming albums, unsigned band demos, and occasional features on culture, fashion, and football with…

Description:
London: Mark Perry, 1977. First edition. Paperback. First edition. Complete run of original issues 1 through 12 including the scarce issue 3 1/2 and the Christmas Special supplement Sniffin' Snow. Includes Alternative T.V.'s "Love Lies Limp" flexi 7" with #12 on SG Records. Issue #12 is in the first state without a photographer's credit on the front wrap. Mimeograph stapled magazines, mostly single-sided, housed in a custom cloth slipcase with leather spine label. Near Fine condition overall, a few rusty staples, light reading wear and toning with age. Two closed tears to wrapper of #2. Excellent condition overall. A set of the renowned punk zine embodying the cheap, fast, brash DIY spirit that would be punk's legacy. It chronicled the early days of the British punk rock scene: The Sex Pistols, The Damned, the influences from the US like The Ramones, Flamin' Groovies, and more. Rare in commerce as a complete run with the first issue, a real stopper, and scarce supplements.

Description:
New York: The Viking Press, 1992. First Edition. Near Fine. First edition. A uniquely decorated copy, fully marbled in purple, blue, yellow, and red by Kesey on covers as well as edges. Painted signature of Kesey on front free endpaper. According his son Zane, Ken began experimenting with marbling techniques in 1964 while traveling on the bus FURTHUR and dropping acid for the first time. Oil paint floating in a puddle entranced the Merry Pranksters and they began dipping objects into the mixture, creating instant objet d'art. Later in his life Kesey returned to this technique, psychedelically marbling, finishing, and signing around 15-20 books total. This is one of those scarce copies. Near Fine with paint slightly rubbed off corners. No jacket. A psychedelic lollipop swirl of original art from the acclaimed writer and countercultural icon.

Description:
First Edition. Very Good. Early, unattributed and bibliographically unknown Czech samizdat edition of George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four. Carbon copy sheets printed on rectos only, bound in cloth covered boards with white plastic brads. (2), 2-205 [p. 15 mis-paginated: 16.]. Very Good with light soiling to covers. First and last several pages are worn and damaged, with no loss to text. Pages sporadically stained throughout. A relic of dissident activity from the Communist-controlled Eastern Bloc, wherein individuals reproduced censored and underground makeshift publications or "samizdat," often by hand, circulating these documents from reader to reader. The perfect novel to be found in samizdat format: Nineteen Eighty-Four was banned and prohibited to be published in communist countries for its strongly anti-totalitarian message.
