California Historical Society. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1974. First Edition. Hardcover. Brown cloth with gilt design; illustrated end pages. 12.5X9". Unpaginated. Double page illustrations, hand sketched by the author, on site, in great detail; hand lettered. Thollander takes the reader on a nostalgic journey of farm life in California and the essential place the barn held from the 1800's to mid '70's. There is no specific index. However, on the final pages there are visitation directions given for about 50 barns. Laid in is an original order envelope and a Historic Providence Mint plate catalog for barns. Slight slant with wrinkling on the front cover, and worn edges of the dust jacket. Not price clipped. .
