London: Chatto and Windus, 1887. 1887 Printing, A New Edition. Very good+ in its original, decorated brown cloth covered boards with gilt text and black bands on the spine and black rules and a gilt design with gilt text in its center. A small octavo of 7 3/4 by 5 inches with very light rubbing and wear to the cloth at the head and heel of the spine and over the tips of the boards. There are two dated gift inscriptions of "1910" on the recto of the frontispiece and on the dedication page. Without a dust jacket. The complete title reads: "The Complete Angler, or the Contemplative Man's Recreation Being A Discourse of Rivers Fish-Ponds Fish and Fishing Written By Izaak Walton and Instructions How to Angle for A Trout Or Grayling In A Clear Stream By Charles Cotton With Original Memoirs and Notes by Sir Harris Nicolas, K.C.M.G. And Sixty Illustrations from Designs by Stothard and Inskipp." 320 pages including an index, text and illustrated with steel engravings followed by 31 pages of ads by the publisher. There is an additional engraved title page and frontispiece of Walton.
