Book is in better condition than most examples of this age. Neat, clean, well bound pages with very minimal foxing, tanning and thumbing. Small inscriptions and neat labels may be present. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Clipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Moderate water staining to tail of spine. Mild rubbing and marking all over.
Synopsis
John Prebble was born in the UK in 1915 but spent his boyhood in a predominantly Scottish township in Canada. He became a journalist, turned novelist, film-maker, and historian, specializing in Scottish subject matter. His recent books include Mutiny and John Prebble’s Scotland . He died in January 2001.
