Ethan Allen and the Green-Mountain Heroes of '76, De Puy, Henry W. Published by Phinney & Co., Buffalo, 1853. First Edition. 423pp. Gilt spine titles and illustration, blind stamped brown boards. Frontis, steel engraving and line map. Front hinge partially cracked although pages firmly attached. Brown stains to free endpaper seeped through to half title. Text block remains predominantly white with occasional light browning. Boards have general wear and rubbing to edges.
A biography of Ethan Allen, revolutionary war hero, and one of the founders of the state of Vermont.
