Whitton Town & Co, 1858. First Edition. Hardcover. 324 pages. William A. Scott was a California pioneer and one of the founders of the San Francisco Theological Seminary. Embossed covers with faded gold lettering to spine. A very good copy. Water staining to lower 1/4 of covers and pages. Binding tight, gutters intact. Wear to edges with fraying to spine ends. All illustrations present. Signed by author to his son, Benjamin F. Scott, and dated 29 January 1858, San Francisco, in pencil on front pastedown.
