Signed by the author. First hardcover edition, with dust jacket, published by Dutton, 1978. Signed and inscribed to the former owner by Gene Hill on the title page. A collection of Gene Hill's 'Field and Stream' essays, inspiring, nostalgic, humorous, and informative. Illustrated by Tom Hennessey. 166 pages, 6-1/2" X 9-1/2". Dust jacket is intact, though it has been price clipped. Jacket has a 1 inch tear at the lower right corner with a crease mark adjacent to the tear, also two 1/2 inch closed tears at the top edge of the front panel, one at the top edge of the back panel, and a small chip to the bottom edge of the spine panel. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Hardcover boards with cloth covered spine. Lower right corner is slightly worn at the tip, a few dots of age foxing to the bottom inch or so of the left side of the cloth cover on the front panel. Binding is tight and square. Not a library discard, not a remainder. Top edge of the text block has a few small dots of foxing near the spine. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory
