Contains information on Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, North and South Carolinas, Georgia, and Texas. Resume of James O. Pattie's travels by the editor of the 1831 publication (See Vol. I, P.456, 462-63) (Pattie is Wagner-Camp 45). Volume I: Information on Missouri and its mineral wealth including lead mines (p. 297-300); Missouri Territory to the Rockies (Pattie p. 456). Oregon is discussed (p. 457-461). Texas including the Austin Colony (p. 461-64) )and more on Pattie (p. 462-63). Volume II: information on Mexico (p. 131-45) Galveston and the flora of Nachitoches, Texas. Re-bound in brown imitation leather, new front and rear endpapers, lightly foxed throughout, leather spine label with title stamped in gilt, overall a very good, tight and square copy.
