This uncommon work was written by S. Barkworth, likely to be the pseudonym of English author and bookseller, Arthur Freeman. This intriguing novel follows the chain of events after a rare, lost fragment of Latin manuscript suddenly appears, up for sale at an auction house in England. But to what lengths will some of the collectors go to in order to own this desirable object? Bound in the publisher's original cloth with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine.
