Compliments card from CEO of corporate sponsor laid in loosely at front. Beautifully produced monograph on the works of De Hooch, a master of Holland's Golden Age of art and a pioneer of the Delft School of painting. The book traces the artist's development from his early paintings of guardroom and tavern scenes to the light-filled courtyards and interiors of his Delft period, and then to the elegant paintings he produced after he moved to Amsterdam.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
