Oxford Edition. 1st printing (1913). 460pp. Quarter vellum and black cloth covered boards with gilt and black decoration and leather title label to spine, Harrovian armorial decoration to front cover, top edge gilt. GOOD copy, binding square and tight, cloth covers well rubbed particularly edges and corners, covers soiled and very grubby particularly vellum spine, spine gilt dulled, title label slightly worn, internally very good. Armorial ex libris bookplate on front pastedown of Lionel Ford (1865-1932), the former Harrow School headmaster and later Anglican priest who served as Dean of York . Good. Hardcover. 1913.
