Leonard & Virginia Woolf, The Hogarth Press, 1929. Hardcover. Good. 1929. Second Impression. 172 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Library copy with stamp to front endpaper and label to front pastedown. Library pocket to rear pastedown. Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing throughout. Slightly more pronounced to text block edges and free endpapers. Binding remains firm. Faint pencil markings to front free endpaper. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is slightly darkened. Small water marks to front board, otherwise boards remain clean. Book has a slight forward lean.

Synopsis

A Room of One's Own was first published in October 1929 in the UK and USA alike as a limited edition run of 492 numbered, signed copies. The first English edition and impression was released three days later with the Vanessa Bell dust jacket, published by Hogarth Press, the Woolfs' own publishing house. The first US edition was published by Harcourt Brace & Co.
