Upper corner tips mildly bruised, a fine copy in a nearly fine dust jacket with mild wear to corner tips and spine ends and some tanning to the spine panel. Uncommon signed by Finlay. (31966). Octavo, five full-page black and white illustrations by Virgil Finlay, cloth. Inscribed by artist Virgil Finlay on the front free endpaper: "To the memory of / A. Merritt, / the Lord of Fantasy. / Virgil Finlay." This edition follows the author's preferred text from the Argosy All Story Weekly serial publication. The 1926 Putnam edition text was abridged.
