First edition, first printing; 8vo; black and white illustrations, author's compliment slip loosely inserted, minor toning to half-title, else unmarked internally; publisher's cream boards, gilt lettering to spine, device blindstamped to upper cover, boards a little tanned and marked, with the unclipped pictorial dustjacket, spine and edges toned, slight spotting to spine and front panel, short closed tears to front panel at joint, short closed tear to rear panel, slight edge-wear, else very good.
