This is a first edition of The Century of Impressionists, published by Crown in 1967. It was written by the French art critic Raymond Cogniat (1896-1977). This is a richly illustrated history of Impressionism, showing the many forms that it took and demonstrating the interdependence of art and ideas. It includes an international panorama of reproductions and includes biographical notes on the artists.
