The Auction & Book Sales Archive by BIBLIO contains:

  • 1.2m auction records collated and curated by American Book Prices Current since 1975, along with
  • Updates on prices realised from future book auctions, and
  • Select sales records from BIBLIO’s websites since 2003, and
  • Self-reported sales records from professional book dealers

Each record will vary somewhat, according to the reporting auction house, but this is the sort of data contained within each auction record:

  • Author
  • Title
  • Illustrator
  • Imprint and date of publication
  • Physical description
  • Date of sale
  • Sales source
  • Currency
  • Price realised

Additionally, some records may contain:

  • Photograph(s) of the item
  • Country of sale
  • Bibliographical citations
What is the relationship between BIBLIO and American Book Prices Current (ABPC)?
In 2024, BIBLIO jointly acquired the exclusive rights to ABPC’s database along with the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America in order to preserve and build upon its legacy of providing valuable and authoritative information on the value, scarcity, and provenance of books and manuscripts.

What is the cost for members of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA)?
As part of our cooperative venture with ABAA, access to the The Auction & Book Sales Archive by BIBLIO is automatically included in your annual ABAA dues. There is no additional charge for access.
How many devices / people from my firm can access the database?
Each license includes one seat, which means one device at a time may access the database. ABAA members get two seats. If you need additional seats, please contact us at absa@biblio.com.
Is The Auction & Book Sales Archive by BIBLIO only available to booksellers?
The Auction & Book Sales Archive by BIBLIO is available to all, including rare book dealers, appraisers, institutions, collectors – essentially anyone who is involved in or interested in the business of rare and antiquarian books.
What if I pre-register, and then later change my mind?
You may cancel for a full refund at any time up until the product is made available to you. After the beta launch, refunds will not be provided.
