Light rubbing to spine ends, corners, and lower edge, else a remarkably clean, bright, hardly used copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (3.5" x 1" piece excised at upper left edge of rear panel, light edge wear and some rubbing along spine, lightest soiling to covers). Scarce in such bright condition.
First edition. 1934 Newbery Honor Book! An unfortunate accident with an Apple drives Bunny from Bunnyland to Elsewhere. Every letter in the alphabet is represented in Bunny's journey, through what he eats (Greens), to whom he meets (Insects, Jay, Kitten, Lizard), and then a little sleep (Nap), to Tripping back to town, right side Up and Up-side-down. Wanda Gag's charming Newbery Honor alphabet book is a wonderful addition to any collection and features the music to sing along on the endpapers.
