Essentially fine, with only the slightest traces of use. at extremities. An apparently unread copy. # 767 of 1025. Gilt stamped bevelled boards Top edge gilt. Laid in is a signed, handwritten letter to his friend, and frequent correspondant, Canadian author Frederick Niven. References in this 2 page letter ( 1 sheet, both sides ), included along with some personal things, are critical thoughts on the " new reading public ", Thomas Hardy, Charles Lamb, Hitler, and Murder in the Cathedral. It is dated 1939. An interesting association cop, of one of Tomlinson's most respected works..
