Well-illustrated trade catalog of psychological and medical-related apparatuses and supplies issued by C.H. Stoelting Co. of Chicago, manufacturers, publishers, and import/exporters. The foreword to the catalog announces that:

"This catalog...gives a good idea of what is usually required at the present time by the psychologists engaged in teaching, clinical and personnel work.... [W]e have introduced the innovation of giving textbook, manual, monograph and periodical references.... The key and list of publications will be found on pages 201-207. The grouping of the apparatus and tests conforms roughly to the divisions of the average textbook and manual.... During our forty-four years of our existence, we have equipped hundreds of all kinds of lecture rooms, laboratories, and clinics... (p[3])"

C.H. Stoelting Co. had previously been manufacturers of apparatuses and supplies for physics, chemistry, botany, bacteriology, astronomy, and agriculture. The subsequently became pioneers in making equipment etc. for two groups of scientists, psychologists and physiologists & pharmacologists, to which groups this trade catalog aimed.

Psychological apparatuses and supplies cover such areas as mensuration; vision; olfaction; phonetics; kinaesthetic, static, and visceral senses; reaction; attention; association; learning; memory; and intelligence tests. Physiological and pharmacological apparatuses and supplies concern operative apparatus; hematology, circulation, respiration, electrical stimulation, ergography, digestion, calorimetry, vision, audition, and cutaneous sense. Models, charts, lantern slides, books, and periodicals were available for studying and evaluating both divisions, psychology and physiology & pharmacology.

Psychological testing items described and priced within the catalog include visual acuity charts, a lenticular pseudoscope, color perception tests, audiometers, sound cages, mazes, chronoscope, kymographs, a psychogalvanograph, a moron test, puzzles, intelligence tests, mechanical aptitude tests, various anatomical charts, nervous system lantern slides, etc. Physiological equipment includes manometers, sphygmographs, cardiographs, pneumographs, various electrodes, etc.
