Boston, 1825. unbound. good. 1 page, 10 x 8 inches, Boston, December 1825, written to the publishing house of Carey & Lea regarding the publication Atlantic Souvenir,in part: "...to secure the greatest degree of patronage, it will be wise to have all the engravings illustrate American scenery, all the tales confined to American subjects, and your writers from every part of the Union..." Uneven toning with fraying along the right-hand margin. Good condition.<br/> <br/> American historian who served as President of Harvard University from 1849 - 1853.<br/> <br/>
