Volumes 1 & 2 of "Le Rayon of Mystere" (complete), from "Les Aventures de Jo, Zette et Jocko" series by Herge (best known for his 'Tintin" series of books). 11 7/8" H, pictorial boards with red paper tape spines, 52 pp. each. Pictorial red/white/black endpapers, full colour cartoons throughout. **French text only.** The adventures of a girl, a boy and a monkey on land and on/under the sea as they battle various villains. **Please note: these books are a product of their times and contain depictions of non-white races that will cause offence to many.** Book 1 has some small tears at the bottom edge of several pages - archivally taped, one page has a 2" old tape stained repair at the gutter, a 6"x1/2" light stain on the verso of the title page, integrated bookplate on the free front endpaper has the previous owner's name/info. in pencil, light curvature to boards, light to moderate rubbing/edge wear and soiling on boards, light bumping to the top/bottom of the spine.
