London: Ward, Lock, nd. ca. 1936. Hardcover. Good/Good. 256 p. 19 cm. Red cloth, stamped in black on cover and spine. Text block edge foxed as are the first few leaves inside each cover. In mylar-covered pictorial dustjacket with illustration by Abbey. Jacket has price clipped front flap, some small chips and tears, especially upper spine, and scuff on rear panel. Ink inscription from 1936 on front free endpaper, foxing to text block edges and within.

Barry Clissold collapses at the feet of Flora Standfast in the New Guinea bush, and the adventure begins.
