(price-clipped) [book is almost flawless, with just the slightest bump to the bottom front corner, pages very lightly age-toned (much less than often seen in these cheaply-produced volumes), one-time owner's signature at top of ffep; jacket is lightly edgeworn, tiny chip at base of spine, small unobtrusive closed tear at top rear foldover]. "Ross Chance had travelled a long way to get to this spot -- across a thousand miles of bleak range and five years of galling pride and bitter loneliness. In those years his land had been taken and his father killed. He had no evidence -- nothing that would stand up in a court of law. But the gun in his hand was judge and jury.
