Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, light edge nicks, small surface scratch to front panel, in new Brodart sleeve. A finely-drawn portrait of Canada during the Revolutionary period depicting the interaction of the many pressure groups in Canada, the American colonies, and in Great Britain all attempting to manipulate one another for their own interests. Illustrated with 10 pages of black-&-white plates and two maps. Ten appendices reproducing the text of relevant contemporaneous documents, 8-page bibliography, 26 pages of author's notes.
