This means that clean copies without remainder marks (or library marks) are scarce. The maroon cloth and bright gilt lettering on the spine are very clean. Unmarked by previous owner: NO stamps, stickers, bookplates, inscriptions, etc. The jacket is intact and unclipped with the original price of $5.95 at the top of the inside front flap. The jacket has some toning along the spine and there is some minor wear at the edges and corners. An attractive collectible copy of King's first novel. First Edition stated on the copyright page and the P6 code is present in the gutter on page 199. The rear jacket flap has a great photo of a young and nervous Stephen King wearing a stylish sport coat (with a pocket square).  Promptly shipped in a sturdy and secure box. First Edition.
