(London: Elliot Stock: 1905) First Edition. Decorated cloth (that is, hard covers) pp. vi, 149. Edges uncut. Authors signed and inscribed presentation copy. Includes The Landing of Captain James Cook, R.N., Botany Bay, 1770, the play produced in connection with the Commonwealth Celebrations at Kurnell, Botany Bay, N.S.W., on Monday, 7th January, 1901, under the direction of Lieut. Victor Cohen, Naval Brigade, Hon. Secretary to the Trustees Captain Cooks Landing Place. Dramatis Personae: Cook, Banks, Dr. Solander, Tupia (Native of Otaheite), Australia (appearing as a beautiful maiden), Seamen, Marines, Aboriginals. Included is Yarringtons Commonwealth Hymn sung to the tune of Old Hundredth by the assembled people, numbering nearly 6000. Rear board soiled; patches of cloth worn away at fore edges and at the foot of the spine; internally near fine.
