About This Item
This is a very handsome copy of Truman Capote's famous book In Cold Blood, which was first serialized in the New Yorker, and was published in book form in 1965. This is a first book club edition from the International Collectors Library.
It is about the 1959 murders of the Clutter family, in Kansas, by a couple of drifters. Next to Vincent Bugliosi's book Helter Skelter, it is the #1 true-crime book in publishing history.
This copy is in pristine condition, except for a tiny bit of shelf wear at the top and bottom of the spine. It is red boards covered in leather, or leatherette--I can't quite tell but I think it's leather.
There is brilliant gilt on the cover and the spine. There is a bound-in red silk bookmark.
All of the the pages are clear and creamy white; there are no marks of any kind in it or on it.
