24 offprints authored or co-authored by Lederberg, co-winner of the 1958 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discovering that bacteria can reproduce sexually and exchange genes. The collection includes a range of offprints from his career, from his first article in 1947 (culled from his dissertation) to the work he did at University of Wisconsin-Madison to his later works on other subjects (including an article on the possibility of life on Mars, co-authored with Carl Sagan).
