Good. - Small quarto [11-3/8 inches high by 8-3/8 inches wide], paper covered boards titled & decorated in gilt on the front cover & spine & with a device in gilt on the rear cover. The binding is bumped & rubbed with the paper worn away at the extremities. 100 & [2] pages plus 100 black-and- white engraved plates with commentaries on printed tissue guards, a section of faience & porcelain marks printed in black & red on gray stock and one on manufacturers' marks, a 25-page glossary & a 4-page publisher's catalog. Also with black-and-white engraved plates & textual illustrations in the first section of the book. The front hinge is starting. The page edges are somewhat darkened. Good.
Printed on vellum.
From the Bourbon family library with the family's bookplate mounted on the front pastedown and the signature "Carlo Bourbon del Monte / Paris 1897" at the top of the front endpaper.
