Red title block on spine with bright gilt titles and decorations. The long "S" is used throughout the text. The pages are styled in two columns, with the Latin language text on the left side and the English language text on the right side. The English text provides the translation, but not in a line by line format. The English text often appears to take up slightly more text block space. There is some minor chipping to head and heel of leather spine. Tanned pages, darker at margins and darkly tanned margin to inside cover. There is light soil or foxing throughout. Pages 37-48 have a small dark spot on the bottom edge and pages 112-119 have some dark spots in the margin. There is discoloration to some page margins which are likely antiquarian fingermarks. There may be other spots within the text which we have not noted. There is a water stain to outside pages and about a dozen pages have a light water stain in the margins. There are some previously folded page corners. We noted a chipped corner to one page. Pencilled bookseller's marks on fep.
