Finely bound in late twentieth century leather binding. Quarter brown morocco with blind ruling and gilt lettering to the spine. Brown cloth on boards. Decorative floral endpapers.Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. A fine copy of this beautiful edition. Most of the first printing of 1940 was destroyed by the bombing of the publishers warehouse during the Blitz.:
