About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1919. Shaw Desmond (pseudonym for Charles Nathaniel Lowe Shaw, 1877-1960] was an Irish novelist and dramatist who devoted much of his life to the study of spiritualism and reincarnation. This is a predictive "near future" novel. Oddly, Bleiler [p. 60] lists four of his speculative novels but not this one. This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the First American Edition. Scarce. Red and black cloth binding with titling on the spine in black. Clean text; 332 pages. Very fresh. Minimal wear; light rub to the tips and a faded spine. Lacking a dustjacket; in an archival plastic protectot. . First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
