About This Item
Paris: L'Imprimerie de Rignoux, 1830. Pamphlet. Very Good. 4 p.; 25 cm. Caption title. "Académie Royale de Médecine" -- at head of title. In ink after "Desormeaux" and after "Moreau" is written "père"; "93" written on title page and Desormeaux is underlined, both in ink. Disbound from a collection of pamphlets owned by French homeopath Dr. Charles Ravel (1822-1887). The author, Moreau, has not been identified as there are several French surgeons with that surname in the early 19th century. Marie Alexandre Desormeaux (1778-1830) was a French physician, professor of medicine, and inventor, and the father of Antonin Jean Desormeaux, also a physician and inventor. In Very Good Condition: foxing, primarily along upper page edges; otherwise, clean and bright. Scarce.
