FIRST EDITION 1915, 8vo, tan cloth, repeat plate on upper cover, 103 pages. 29 full page black and white photographic illustrations of dolls in natural settings by Will Cadby. The story of the dolls' adventures after running away from their little owner who appears with them in some photos. They meet various animals and another little girl. An enchanting book. Head and tail of spine and corners slightly rubbed, minute chip to plate on upper cover (at dress hem), 1 or 2 very slight fox spots, 3 mm (1/8") brown stain in the middle of 6 text pages. Contents otherwise bright and clean, pencil inscription dated January 1916 on reverse of front endpaper. A very good plus copy. MORE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING, ALL ZOOMABLE.
