Sipper.  Contains very short stories The South Sea Soup Co. by Kenneth Millar (later Ross Macdonald) and Impromptu by Margaret Millar.  Sllight bumping at corners and edges.

Both stories were published in Macdonald’s and Millar’s high school literary magazine, The Grumbler, in 1931. Macdonald’s story, “The South Sea Soup Company” is a Holmes parody, featuring Herlock Sholmes. Fine.

Each story, at that early time, foreshadow the writing style for which each is remembered today. As new, unread copy.

These two stories were published in Macdonald’s and Millar’s high school newspaper in Ontario, The Grumbler, in 1931. Macdonald’s story, “The South Sea Soup Company” is a Sherlock Holmes parody. Limited to 170 total copies, this is copy # VII out of 15 Roman numeral copies, SIGNED by both Kenneth Millar and Margaret Millar on the limitation page. Additionally, this copy is inscribed, (it looks like its to Wayne Warga) and SIGNED by Margaret Millar on the page facing the title page. Laid in is a reproduction of a 1931 photograph of the high school debate team of which both authors were members. The first story of each, written when they were in high school was published in 1931 in their school magazine, The Grumbler. Each is reproduced in this book. This volume is in fine condition and is protected in a plastic sleeve.
