London: The Hogarth Press,, 1930. Signed by Vita Sackville-West First edition, signed limited issue, number 72 of 125 copies signed and numbered by the author. The Edwardians "celebrated the lavish style of country house life that she had observed in her parents' heyday at Knole" (ODNB). An unsigned trade issue in full cloth was also released. Octavo. Original japon-backed pink cloth, spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Very light soiling and spotting to vellum, else a sharp and fresh, near-fine copy. Woolmer 235a; Cross & Ravenscroft-Hulme A20(b).
