Vallet, some with 2 subjects, all of young children, vignette of children on title page, 20 black and white illustrations in the text, 32 pages including half-title and title page, attractive coloured pictorial boards, a family at centre, wide border of flowers and children, lower cover decorated with flowers and a blue-bird, expertly rebacked in blue cloth, green and cream floral endpapers. Small neat repairs to board corners, light foxing to half-title and title page, light foxing and light browning to pages next to coloured plates, otherwise clean. A good plus copy of an uncommon French children's book (visiting Grannie New Year's Day; game of Les Rois; Carnival; Easter Eggs; Prizes (2 images); Holidays; Fishing and Hunting (2 images); The Sledge and Christmas (2 images).
