The 3rd of the collaborations between both Roberts/Mountford trilogy of myths of the Aboriginal First people. It began in 1963 with an exhibition of Ainslie Roberts's remarkable paintings of central Australia, its people and its stories. This resulted in the co-authorship of 'The Dreamtime.' They next compiled 'The Dawn of Time',(1968) f which was then followed by this title - 'The First Sunrise.' - with 32 new, powerful, colour reproduction paintings and b/w line drawings/illustrations by Roberts; based on First People explaining the creation of the world, with texts and his interpretations,by eminent anthropologist Charles Mountford. Since April 2013 and again in March 2015,and in this year too,the UK Post Office has altered it's Pricing in Proportion template, altering it's prices, weight allowances, dimensions and lowered it's qualifying compensation rates too!
