Ottawa: Printed by Order of the House of Commons, 1868. Paperback. Fair. lxxv, 615 p. 26 cm in blue paper wrappers. Includes 5 maps. Wrappers are chipped and stained. Title and first pages are damp stained. Ink stain on text block edge. Pages clean.
The last report submitted on the public works of the United Provinces of Upper and Lower Canada as they were before Confederation. Discussion of canals, works on navigable rivers, harbours, light-houses and buoys, slides and booms, roads and bridges, public buildings and provincial vessels. Largely consists of appendices. Alphabetical index runs from Amherst to Whitby. Also an index to the appendix.
